Relaxation of new .organic domain rules
As of February 1, 2017, the .organic domain verification process will be eliminated, which used to be the next phase following the domain registration request and was required in order to activate the domain request in the DNS.

The registration of .organic domains is reserved for companies and businesses that supply biological products, goods and services.
Such registration is secondary, however, to the verification process: to activate the domain in the DNS, it is mandatory that the applicant supply the proper information and documentation to meet the Registry's .organic domain registration requirements.
Starting February 1, 2017, however, the verification process for .organic domains will be eliminated!
The applicant, therefore, will no longer need to demonstrate his/her residency in order to register an .organic domain and have it activated.
In spite of the suspension of the verification process, however, the .organic domain rules of the registration and usage are still valid: the contents of the website must be linked to agriculture and to the biological industry.
