Small collection of frequently asked questions about email services.
An email box is a tool that allows you to send and receive email messages from and to any other email in the world.
The email boxes offered by Dominiando can be accessed at any time and from any device with Internet access, whether it's a fixed or portable PC, smartphone or tablet, or even older generation mobile phones that have a simple email client installed.
Yes, Dominiando provides only custom emails with the domain name that you choose, so all the boxes that you activate end with your domain.
Webmail is a service included in each email box that allows you to check and write emails even from PCs, tablets, and smartphones, on which you have not configured your email box settings, such as an internet point PC or the tablet of a friend or colleague.
Dominiando's webmail also offers you several additional features to organize your activity calendar and your contacts directory.
You can find webmail at https://webmail.dominiando.email.
Yes, Dominiando's services are "all inclusive" and offer all the advanced features of the latest email services in one package.
All protocols can also be used with SSL encryption to ensure greater security in your communications.
SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is the standard protocol for sending emails.
When an email is sent, it is delivered by the outgoing mail server (SMTP server), which initiates communication with the recipient's incoming mail server in order to correctly transfer the message.
IMAP4 (Internet Mail Access Protocol) is one of two protocols for receiving emails (the other is POP3).
By setting up an email client account in IMAP4 mode, all messages remain on the server and a copy of them gets downloaded to your computer.
POP3 (Post Office Protocol) is one of two protocols for receiving emails (the other is IMAP4).
By setting up an email client account in POP3 mode, all messages are downloaded locally to your PC and deleted from the server, unless a setting is enabled to keep a copy of the messages on the server.
Since each user has different requirements, with these two offers we can meet everyone's needs.
For example, anyone who wants lots of emails with a modest capacity will opt for the Flexi service, while those who want mailboxes that store emails for several years without having problems with storage space, will purchase the ABigBox service!
For more details on the differences, visit the email service comparison page.
You can find them in the service activation email, as well as in the email administration panel.
As part of the Flexi package, the quarantine service redirects all emails that antispam interprets as unwanted and puts them in a temporary archive where they remain for 15 days before being deleted.
As well as freeing the mailbox of unsolicited messages, it makes it so that you do not miss any emails since you can periodically check if the software has made any mistakes (false positives), and consequently set it to not make them again by activating an automatic white listing.
