Preregister a .asia domain
Instructions for .asia domain preregistration.
- Dominiando
Since March 27, it has been possible for the public to register .ASIA domains.
We are pleased to announce that today we will begin accepting preregistration requests for .ASIA TLD's.
Unlike other launches in the past, the .ASIA extension does NOT follow the “first come, first served" rule.
This results in a significant reduction in the competition stress that the Sunrise periods normally invoke, and makes it so applicants do not have to make the same request with several facilities at once.
By not following the first come, first served rule, in the case of multiple applications with the same name and with the necessary prerequisites (i.e. qualified applications) made by different parties will be auctioned.
Pool.com is the institution that will handle the auction.
Like other extensions, .ASIA requires a local presence.
There is also the "CED contact" (Charter Eligibility Declaration contact).
The CED contact, however, not being an admin-c as traditionally understood, will not have future power to modify/transfer the domain; such powers will always remain in the hands of the actual admin-c.
The CED contact will still be involved in qualification operations during the various launch phases.
For all applicants who do not have a legally established person in one of the Asian countries, we can provide the local presence service (local presence trustee).
general criteria for eligibility
To apply for a .ASIA domain, you need to indicate at least one contact residing in the Asia/Australia/Pacific area.
Dominiando can provide a CED contact if the customer does not have a legally established and demonstrable premises.
If the applicant has a contact in the region, he/she will be required to provide further information that can be demonstrated later. The .ASIA domain administrator will verify the reliability and veracity of the data provided.
Domains registered during the Sunrise and Landrush phases must be requested for a minimum two-year period.
